No. For more information on payment, please read our Insurance and Payment Information.
We file insurance as a courtesy, but you will need to check with your insurance company to make sure you can go to the dentist of your choice and also check to see what they pay for out-of-network benefits.
Yes, we suggest that you arrive 10 minutes early to handle insurance and paperwork.
For your first appointment, we need your insurance card and any radiographs (also known as x-rays) you have from a previous dentist; there’s no need to bring a picture ID.
First appointments take about 2 hours and include a full markup, radiographs, and cleaning. After that, all follow-up cleaning appointments will take around an hour.
We generally recommend that people see a dentist twice a year and have radiographs completed once a year. Most insurances cover two cleanings a year, so you might as well use them! If you come more often, like every 6 months, there’s less buildup and cleaning will take less time. Also, we can see and treat things like cavities quicker and more effectively.
All self pay patients should be prepared to pay for treatment in full on the day of service, and insured patients should be prepared to pay their portion in full on day of service.
We choose to use local numbing injections. We do have gas available, but do not use it often. We try to make our atmosphere as stress-free as possible, and that includes using best practices for pain control.

Georgia Family Dental accepts most insurance plans. However, you should contact your insurer before your visit to learn what services are covered. We submit claims as a courtesy, but you will be responsible for any costs not paid by your insurance company. We do not accept Medicaid.
If you’re on a network plan, it is especially important to verify how much your insurer will pay for a visit to an out-of-network provider. Some networks will not pay for visits to a non-network dental practice.
Payment options include cash, check, debit card, Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover. We also accept Care Credit, a credit card specifically for health and wellness payments.
